摘要
随着基础教育水平的提高,高校、特别是重点大学公共外语课程已经失去作为课程存在的理据。公共外语教学工作量、教师实际数量和教师需求量等方面变化显示,公共外语教师即将成为无外语课程可教的过剩教师。公共外语教师成为过剩教师不止是公共外语教师自己必须认识到和面对的问题,更是相关高校管理层必须认识到和面对的问题。已经成为或即将成为过剩教师的公共外语教师必须从公共外语向其它课程转移。去外语化,即从外语语言或外语文学学科转向外语语言文学学科之外某种人文社会科学学科专门研究和课程教学,是过剩公共外语教师转移的必然选择。
Up--leveling of basic education undermines the realistic necessity of Common Core Foreign Language (CCFL) as a course or a course complex in the curricula of higher education institutions, especially priority universities. The changing of the amounts of the teaching load, the teaching personnel, and demands and supplies of the teaching personnel demonstrates that the CCFL teachers have become or will soon become teachers in surplus with no CCFL courses to teach. The state of the CCFL teachers being in surplus presents a problem not only before the CCFL teachers themselves but also before the administra-tors of universities and colleges concerned; and it is necessary that the CCFL teachers who have become and who will become teachers in surplus be transferred to teaching of non--linguistic and non--literary courses. Disciplinary transfer, transfer of these CCFL teachers to academic research and course teaching in non--linguistic and non--literary disciplines of humanistic and social sciences, is the inevitable choice for professional development of CCFL teachers and academic advancement of the higher education institutions concerned.
