摘要
由于汉英语言文化上的显著不同,国内读者和外国受众在认知语境上也存在较大差异。外宣译本的成功与否往往取决于译本是否具有最佳关联性。文章以2010年政府工作报告(英译本)为例,以关联翻译观为指导,着重探讨了变译策略在外宣翻译中的应用。
Chinese readers differ from foreign readers in cognitive environment due to great disparities be- tween Chinese and English. A good international publicity translation should comply with the principle of rele- vance. Guided by the theory of relevance, the paper studied the translation variation in English scripts of the report on the government work in 2010.
