The necessity of analyzing pentachlorophenol （PCP） in the water,textiles and leather was reviewed. The research situation of pretreatment technology of PCP in textiles ＆ leather at home and abroad, including the principle, method, advantages and disadvantages of liquid - liquid extraction （ LLE）, steam distillation （ SD）, microwave - assisted steam distillation （ MASD）, solid - phase extraction （ SPE）, solid phase micro - extraction （ SPME）, supercritical fluid extraction （ SFE）, accelerated solvent extraction （ASE） and so on. The application and future prospects of accelerated solvent extraction （ASE） in the optimization of pretreatment of pentachlorophenol （PCP） in textiles and leather was also introduced.
