Empirical Study for Metaphorical Theory applied in College English Teaching

隐喻是人类认知的手段,是以语言为载体的思维现象。笔者从隐喻的涵义出发,重点讨论了隐喻在英语词汇、习语、阅读和文化教学四方面的应用,以期达到促进英语教学、提高教学效率之目的。

Metaphor is seen as a rhetorical device and also a thinking mode of human.The paper discusses the application of metaphor in the vocabulary,idioms and social cultures education.The purpose of the study is to promote the development of college English and to increase the efficiency of English teaching.
