BRIEF DISCUSSION ON STUDIES ON SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES IN THE HIGHEST IMPERIAL EXAMINATION IN THE EARLYNORTHERN SONG DYNASTY

以太平兴国五年榜进士立论,对宋初进士的籍贯与地理分布、家世与仕途,以及婚姻关系、政治道德、政治观念等诸方面进行了研究,为把握宋初进士的特质及宋朝士大夫阶层的发展轨迹提供了依据。

This paper researches the successful candidates in the imperial examination of the fifth year of Taipingxingguo and introduces these elites＇ places of birth, distribution, family background, official career, marriage, political morals, political ideas and so on, which provides a basis for catching the characteristics of the successful candidates in the early Song Dynasty and the development of scholar-bureancrat in that time.
