Essential Characteristics and Sustainable Development of Archival Science

作者指出了影响档案学学科发展的主要因素;论证了档案、档案工作或档案规律不能成为档案学的学科研究对象;分析了图书馆学、情报科学与档案学的根本差异,指出能够凸显档案学本质特征的学科研究对象是:信息资源的档案化管理与人类记忆的长期保存。作者论述了信息化环境给档案学发展带来的机遇,以及档案学可持续发展的努力方向。

This article first indicates main factors that influence the course development of archival science and demonstrates that archive;archival work and archival discipline can not become course study objects of archival science.Then it analyzes fundamental differences among library science,information science and archival science,and points out that course study objects of archival science should be archival management of information resources and long-term preservation of human memory,which can manifest the essential characteristics of archival science.It also discusses opportunities to the development of archival science that brought by information environment and indicates the striving direction to the sustainable development of archival science.
