Introspection on the failed soil-nailing walls in some areas of China

摘要 通过对发生了过大变形或滑塌事故的30个土钉墙的综合分析,基于土钉技术边开挖边支护、主动支护和柔性结构的特点,提出了该技术应用中遇到的一些关键问题,如适用性、软土、地下水,阐述了须采取的技术措施。软土层影响系数可用来确定软土对基坑稳定的影响和选择适宜的土钉墙设计方案。土钉墙滑塌后,一般先进行坡顶挖土卸载,然后增设抗滑桩加固。 Based on the comprehensive analysis on the 30 engineering cases with soil-nailing where the excess displacement and the collapses have occurred in some areas of China,and on the features of the in-situ enforcement construction and the flexible structure for soil-nailing,some key issues which occurred in soil-nailing technique such as the suitability,soft soil and groundwater are put forward.The technical measures for the said issues are recommended.The influence coefficient of soft soil layer as a quantitative index could be used to define and determine the effect of soft soil on the stability of the retaining structure and the design scheme.After the failure of soil-nailing wall,the upper and shallow soil near the slope crest should be removed and then the resisting piles around the toe of soil-nailing walls should be added.
