摘要
《儒林外史》创造了许多人物,这些人物的服饰对于揭示人物的身份地位起着极其重要的作用。服饰蕴含着深刻的文化知识,通过比较与分析各种人物服饰的汉英翻译,探讨服饰翻译的可译性限度问题。
Many figures were created in The Scholars. Costume, which contains profound cultural connotation, plays important roles in displaying and revealing the status of these figures. The paper makes a comparison and analysis of the C-E translation of different clothing in The Scholars and explores the limits of translatability in their translation.
