The article conducts a research on the factors that would probably influence the results in volatile phenol test process.Besides it discusses such issues as the preparation and storage of experimental phenol-free water,substituted water for phenol-free water,technological requirements for distillation pretreatment,improvement of standard curve making and frequently asked questions in dosing colorimetric.Finally it reaches the following results: In volatile phenol test experiment,reagent formulating and sample testing with phenol-free water or same-quality experimental water and pretreatment distillation can enhance data accuracy.
