摘要
基于韩礼德系统功能语法中的人际功能理论,以美国总统奥巴马上任后的首份国情咨文为语料,从语气系统中的三种主要语气——陈述语气、疑问语气和祈使语气对其进行人际意义分析,进而揭示语言模式的选择与其所要表达的意义之间的关系,以便更好地理解蕴含在政治演讲语篇中的深层含义,揭示其之所以振奋人心、团结大众的原因。
Based on the mood system of interpersonal function in Halliday′s Systemic Functional Grammar,the present research discusses the interpersonal meaning in President Obama′s first State of the Union Message soon after he took office.It reveals the relationship between the choice of language patterns and its meaning through Mood System in three aspects——the indicative mood,interrogative mood and imperative mood,through which we can better understand the deeper meaning of political speeches and find out the nature for such an inspiring and persuasive political discourse.
