This paper analyzes the importance of the documental retrieval and management for the cultivation of scientific research ability, points out that the each step of graduate students＇ scientific research is connected with documental retrieval and the supervisors of the graduate students play a positive role in the cultivation of graduate students＇ documental retrieval and management ability, and puts forward some measures for carrying out the teaching of the documental retrieval and management for graduate students in order to guarantee that the cultivation of the documental retrieval and management ability will serve graduate students＇ scientific research.
