从维熙的文学创作从新时期初期的"大墙文学"开始引起关注,他重点描写沦落社会底层的知识分子的命运遭遇及其抗争,挖掘他们真实而复杂的灵魂,引发人们对历史和人的反思。痛苦的记忆促使从维熙努力超越苦难。在《北国草》和《裸雪》两部长篇小说中,他在北国荒原和家乡大地上寻觅到了精神的故乡。

The literary creation of Cong Wei-xi began to attract people＇s attentions from ＂the literature about imprisonment＂ of new era.He mainly described the intellectuals＇ fate and their struggles in the bottom of the society,unearthing their real and complex soul,causing people to reflect on the history and human.Cong Wei-xi tried hard to get rid of the sufferings because of the memory of pain.In his two novels Northern grass and Naked snow,he found the spiritual home in his native land and northern wildness.
