A Review of the Researches on the Rural-Urban Relationship over the Past 60 Years since the Founding of the New China

城乡关系是学术界普遍关注的一个热点研究领域,新中国成立60年来,经过学术界几代人的不懈努力,对城乡关系的界定、中国古代城乡关系、近代城乡关系、建国后计划经济时期的城乡关系、改革开放后的城乡关系,以及区域城乡关系,城乡统筹协调一体化新型城乡关系的建立等问题,进行了卓有成效的研究,取得了丰硕的研究成果,述评这些成果,对于深化研究和解决我国城乡关系问题有很好的理论和现实意义。

The rural - urban relationship is always a focus of China＇s academic research. Over the past 60 years since the foun- ding of the New China, there have been fruitful findings, thanks to the strenuous efforts of generations of researchers, concerning the definitions, the rural - urban relationships in ancient and modem China as well as in the era of planned economy after the founding of PRC and in contemporary China since the opening - up practices, the regional rural - urban relationship, and the new form of rural - urban integration. A review of these achievements is of theoretical and practical importance to the relevant studies and to the solution of the existing problems in China.
