在会议口译中出现的词汇空缺现象很频繁,也是译者必须面对的问题。如果处理不得当,轻则引起听者对会议内容的误解,重则引起外交事件。根据国内外重要会议的口译员的口译资料,以巴黎释意学派为理论基础,分析在会议口译中出现的词汇空缺现象,借鉴经验丰富的译者对词汇空缺现象的解决之道,寻找处理词汇空缺现象的新途径。

Lexical gap is inevitable in the conference interpreting. For a mature interpreter, it＇s important to handle the lexical gap properly, or it may result in misunderstanding or worse. This paper, based on the Interpretive Theory of Translation, using mature interpreter＇s experience as reference, suggests translation strategies of the lexical gap, in order to find a new way to handle lexical gap in conference interpreting.
