摘要
过去我国外宣翻译多采用归化翻译策略,但随着中国成功举办2008北京奥运会,正在举办的2010年上海世博会以及广州亚运会,中国的实力和地位得到世界的认可,中国的语言和文化也受到越来越多的关注。因此,以源语或原文作者为归宿,保持原文的"原汁原味",反映出源语的民族文化特点的异化翻译策略在外宣翻译中的作用日趋明显。文章拟以法国思想家米歇尔·福柯的权力话语理论为依托,论述了异化翻译策略在外宣翻译中的优势或重要作用。
The strategy of domestication has been always adopted in publicity-oriented C-E translation for the past years. However,with successfully hosting the Olympic Games 2008,applying for the World Exposition 2010 Shanghai and the Asian Games 2010 Guangzhou,China s strong ability and high status have been recognized by the whole world.Consequently, China' s culture and Chinese have been attracting more and more foreigners.Therefore the strategy of foreignization,which focuses on the source language or source-text author and reflects the source language s culture and tradition,plays a more and more important role in publicity-oriented C-E translation.This article discusses the advantages or importance of foreignization in publicity-oriented C-E translation,on the basis of the theory of Power and Discourse proposed by the French philosopher Michel Foucault.
