摘要
文章比较系统地阐释了民族学学科的内涵,全文包括三个方面的内容:一是该学科名称的意义、研究领域与学科形成的简史,还从民族学的分支,民族学所研究的"文化"的意义和特点等方面来介绍民族学的内涵与定义;二是民族学的理论基础和学科特点,包括传统民族学理论、马克思主义与民族学、当代民族学理论和民族学的研究方法等;三是民族学与其它学科的关系,包括民族学与人类学、历史学和汉民族研究的关系以及民族学的开放性特点等内容。
The thesis expounds systematically the connotation of ethnology. The paper consists of three parts： first, the meaning of the subject, field of study and its brief history as well as introduction to the definition of ethnology and cultural meaning and feature under ethnological study; second, theoretical basis of ethnology and subject feature, which consists of traditional ethnological theory, Marxism and ethnology, contemporary ethnological theory and research method on ethnology; third, ethnology related to other branch of study, which covers ethnology related to anthropology, history and research in Han people as well as the open characteristics of ethnology.
