Innovative Adaptation is Required:a Different Revelation of Home

作为改编自巴金小说《家》的同名话剧作品,现代戏剧史上曾出现过至少三个不同版本的《家》。绿宝剧场嘉其版《家》太过粗糙,吴天版《家》过于拘泥原著,唯有曹禺版《家》成为了经典。故改编不是简单的重复,而是全新的创作。

As the drama works of the same name which adapted from Ba Jin's novel Home, have been at least performed three different versions in the history of modern drama. Lubao Theater version of Jia Qi's Home was somewhat rough, the version of Wu Tian's was too rigidly stick to the original version, and Cao Yu's version has become the only one appraised classic. Because the adaptation to the works is not depending on simple repetition, it is a new creation.
