The article analyzed and compared the general applications of wireless communication technologies in current mining industry such as WiFi wireless LAN,wireless intercom in buildings,PHS,SCDMA,the fourth-generation mobile technology NGP（Next Generation Advanced PHS）,etc.,describes the communications technology advantage and technical limitations in detail in the coal mines field,proposes strategies for a reasonable choice of mainstream products with wireless communications technology and illustrates the development of the field＇s trend,to provide technical reference for coal companies to choose wireless communication system.
