民办高等教育已成为我国高等教育事业的重要组成部分,第三条道路是我国在一定历史时期民办高等教育发展的主渠道。这是一种将教育的公益性与投资的营利性有机相统一、符合现实国情要求的特殊的民办高等教育发展模式。国家民办高等教育分类管理政策应当具有更大的包容性,允许有更多的路径发展民办高等教育,善待要求取得合理回报的投资办学。
