摘要
通过无线局域网可以实现许多新的应用 ,用户可以通过各种手持终端设备以及笔记本电脑向主机实时进行信息的传输和处理并从中受益。无线局域网标准IEEE 80 2 .11大大促进了不同厂商产品之间的互操作性 ,并推进了已经萌芽的产业的发展。此外 ,WLANA和WECA等组织也在积极推动着无线局域网市场。最后介绍了不同的无线局域网配置 ,包括其基本配置、在有线网络上增加无线单元、移动终端的配置及建筑物之间的无线网络连接。
Many new applications may be implemented through wireless LAN. User may transmit real time information to the host via various hand held terminal equipment and notebook for processing and benefit from these applications. Meanwhile, wireless LAN may also save time and expenses. The WLAN standard IEEE 802.11 greatly promotes the interoperability between the products of different vendors. Beside that, WLANA, WECA and other organizations are actively promoting the WLAN market. Finally, different WLAN configurations are introduced in this paper, including the basic WLAN network configuration and the wireless network connection between buildings.
