１９９０～１９９９年，对育成的左山一、左红一、左山二、双庆、双优、双丰和双红 ７个山葡萄品种试验观察表明：山葡萄有较高的萌芽率和结果枝率。产量高的品种是双优和双红，最低的是双庆。果穗松散小青粒多的是左红一和左山一。穗、粒大的是左红一和双优，最小的是双庆。浆果含糖高、总酸低的是左红一和左山二。浆果出汁率高的是双优、左山二和左山一。酒质最佳的是左山一、双红、双优和左红一。高抗霜霉病的是左山一和双红，最不抗病的是双优和双丰。硬枝扦插成苗率高的是左红一、左山一。双优不易生根成苗。
During 1990 ～1999, an observation on 7 varieties'ZuoShan Yi'etc bred from wild grape was made. the performance of the wild grape showed high budding rate and fruiting rate. 'ShuangYou' and 'Shuang Hong' gained gained highest, 'Shuang Qing' yield was lowest, 'ZuohongYi' and 'ZuoShaner' have high sugar content and low acid, the berry extracting juice rate of 'ShuangYou', 'ZuoShanER' and 'ZuoShanYi' was high.the wine quality of 'ZuoShanYi', 'ShuangHong' and 'ZuoHongYi' was best, 'ZuoShan Yi' and 'ShuangHong' possessed the resistance to Downy mildew, While the resistance of 'ShuangYou' and 'ShuangFeng' was poor, the survival rate of 'ZuoHongYi' and 'ZuoShanYi' by hard-wood cutting was high. while 'ShuangYou' was not easy to take root and to be planting.
