《中国图书馆事业史》是以我国传统史学研究方法撰著的一部中国图书馆事业的通史专著。本文在对该书著者卢荷生先生专业师承、学术生涯及其所习治学方法的历史源流进行介绍的基础上,总结了该史学专著六个方面的特点,认为该书体现了我国传统的实证史学和西方兰克学派史学的"实证"和"科学化"特点。
