摘要
当前,苹果移动设备在高校中风行,利用移动设备学习语言也成为热点。为了解高校中苹果移动设备辅助语言学习的现状及外语教师对iPad应用于课堂教学的看法,本研究对珠海四所高校240名苹果移动设备用户(186名学生及54名外语学院教师)进行了问卷调查与访谈。问卷调查结果表明:苹果移动设备中有助于语言学习的软件虽多,但远未被合理利用;外语教师较之学生在利用苹果移动设备辅助语言学习上未见显著差异,因而难以发挥指导作用。访谈则揭示了深层原因在于教师对苹果移动设备中软件的了解不充分,因而对其辅助外语教学的潜力认识不足。此外,多数教师对iPad运用于课堂教学存在疑问,移动设备运用于课堂需要师生观念的改变和相关技术培训。
Apple mobile devices are presently popular among college students. Using mobile devices in language learn- ing is also popular. To explore the current status of learning through Apple devices in colleges and teachers ' attitude toward using iPad in classroom teaching, 240 Apple mobile devices users ( 186 students and 54 teachers in foreign language schools) were investigated through questionnaires and interviews. Results of the questionnaire show that al- though numerous sofiwares are accessible in Apple device, they are not fully utilized. In addition, teachers are not sig- nificantly better than students in using software and thus could not guide the students properly. The interview showed that the deeper reason lies in that teachers do not know the software in Apple device well enough to apply it in language learning. Moreover, most teachers have concerns about using iPad in classroom teaching. Teachers' and students' attitude and thought must change and training is needed for mobile devices to be efficiently used in classrooms.
