当前,随着世界多极化和经济全球化的形成,我国社会主义市场经济和改革开放向纵深发展,各种矛盾错综复杂,各种思潮相互碰撞,在这样的形势下,人们的思想越来越复杂,许多难点、疑点、热点、焦点问题需要我们去疏导、解决。运用会议、报告、评比、奖惩等方法是可以解决一些重大的普遍性的群众思想认识问题,但有些深层的、个别的、特殊的问题仅靠上述方法难以达到预期效果,而谈心的方法是深入细致地进行思想教育、解决疑难问题的一种行之有效的方法。
