Discussion on Dining Together by Officials in Tang Dynasty

在唐代官方视野中,会食是指官员在一起共进"工作餐",同时可以商议政事。唐代官员会食有固定场所与礼节,而且有一定量的食本作为公厨运营的经费,以供官员会食所需。唐代公厨并不能直接等同于食堂,两者是发挥不同作用的独立空间。另外,唐代官员会食也带有较强的目的性。官员会食制度也可以算作盛唐政治制度的外延。

In the field of officials in Tang Dynasty,dining together refers to working meals by officials while discussing political issues.There was a fixed place and etiquette for the officials to dine together with fixed standard in cost as the fund to operate the official kitchen.In Tang Dynasty,the official kitchen was not equal to a canteen.They were different type of spaces,playing different roles.In addition,there is a stronger purpose in dining together in Tang Dynasty.The system could be counted as the extension of the Tang political system.
