现代公共图书馆的重要职能之一就是情报职能。阐述了公共图书馆情报职能的内涵,分析了现阶段公共图书馆情报职能的现状,探讨了公共图书馆情报职能的有效拓展,指出公共图书馆要想得到长足的发展,就必须结合当前我国国情进行情报职能的拓展。

One of the important functions of the modern public library is the information function. This paper expounds the concept of public library’s information function, analyzes the present situation of public library’s information function at this stage, probes into the effective expansion of public library’s information function, and points out that the public library, that wants to get great development, must expand its information function connecting with the current China＇s national conditions.
