The current status and outlook of stem cell transplantation

摘要 干细胞是指未分化或未充分分化、具有再生成为各种组织器官并且可以自我扩增的一类细胞。诸多研究证实,干细胞具有强大的自我更新能力、分化能力、免疫调节能力以及靶向治疗能力。这使得干细胞成为较为理想的移植来源。干细胞移植治疗是近年来众多学者研究的热点。干细胞移植的基本理论和临床应用研究都取得了很大的进展。由于干细胞的这种强大的能力,干细胞移植很有希望能够用于促进肝再生、抑制肝脏纤维化等一系列疾病的治疗。 Stem cells refer to undifferentiated or inad- equately differentiated cells that have the ability to become a variety of tissues, regenerate organs, and self expand. There is strong evidence that stem cells have abilities of self- renewal differentiation, immune regulation, and a potential for targeted therapy, which all together support development of stem cell transplantation. Stem cell transplantation thera- py has become a hot topic in recent years, and the basic the- ory and clinical application have made great progress. The a- bilities of stem cells make their transplantation ideal to pro- mote liver regeneration, inhibit liver fibrosis, and provide treatment for many diseases. This article will review the cur- rent status and outlook of stem cell transplantation.
