国外STM期刊出版趋势研究

Study on the Publishing Trends of STM Journals Abroad

对国外部分著名出版社期刊的载体及OA期刊出版情况进行了跟踪调查,结合文献调研,总结出国外STM期刊的出版发展趋势是:在出版载体上印刷型期刊数量不断减少,数字化期刊数量不断增加;OA期刊种类迅速增加;由于新技术的应用,使得期刊内容愈来愈丰富,形式多样;由于通讯技术的发展使得在线信息由网络向移动式发展等。针对出版趋势,提出今后NSTL文献资源建设和服务应采取的应对策略。

This paper summed up the results of a follow up investigation on publishing mediums and current status of OA journals published by some well-known foreign publishers, assisted by the literature research. Then the foreign STM journal publishing trends is put forward, which includes the decrease of printed journals while a increase on digitized version regarding to formats of publishing media; booming of the amount of OA journals, especially the hybrid OA journals; abundant journal contents and diverse formats due to the application of new technologies; and online information being easily accessible and shifting from the network to the personal moble terminals owing to the implementation of cutting edge communication technologies. Finally, this paper proposes countermeasures to enhance literature resource construction and services for NSTL in the future.
