Muslim Heroin Liu Manqing and Tibet in Republic of China Period

文章阐述了刘曼卿少年求学、主动入藏宣传抗日的过程,述其事迹著述,议其功德精神,展现了她为西藏的发展和国家的统一所作的特殊贡献。并力图通过深入探讨这位不为世人所关注的人物及其史实,分析西藏地方对中央政府的态度、对中央政策的反应及其原因,使人们对民国时期西藏地方与中央关系的演变有更全面的认识和把握。

Based on the researches that has been done by other scholars, this article brings futher discussions on the Liu Manqing＇ s experiences in pursuing her studies, actively serving as an envoy in Tibet, and trying to raise awareness of antiJapanese struggle at that time. This articles also provides with detailed contribution and achievements reached by Liu Manqing and praises her spirit which reflected her great contribution to the devel opment of Tibet and unifying the whole of China. At the same time, by exploring Liu Manqing as a great histori cal character based on historical facts, this article also tries to analyze the attitudes, reaction of the local Tibetan Government towards the Central Government and its policies as well as the causes of these reactions. Therefore, this could help people to have an overall understanding of the development of the relationship between lo cal Tibetan Government and the Central Government during the Republic of China period.
