摘要
传统的大学英语教学已经不能满足社会对于多元化人才的需求,高职院校开展ESP教学已成为必然趋势,多数公共英语教师面临向ESP教师的转型.在分析高职英语教师转型必要性的基础上,讨论了这一趋势背景下公共英语教师如何正确定位自身角色并顺利实现转变的途径,以期能够更好地为高职英语教学服务.
Traditional college English teaching can no more meet the social requirements for multi-talents. It is an inevitable trend to carry out ESP teaching in higher vocational colleges and most public English teachers are faced with the situation to transform to ESP teachers. Based on the analysis of necessity for public English teachers to transform to ESP teachers, this paper discusses how public English teachers definite their roles properly and realize role transition successfully to give service to higher vocational English teaching preferably.
