试论公共图书馆的育人核心作用

On the Public Library's Core Function of Education

This article points out that the core function of the public library is education and highlights that a successful and effective education is necessary for achieving the final goal of the public library and promoting social changes and technological enhancement. Several historical examples are used to support these points. Besides, this article elementarily analyzes the relation between the opening of the public library and its educational functions, the difference between the education in the public library and the educational institution and how to achieve the effective education function. 10 refs.
