摘要
文章基于世界银行中国企业调查数据,考察企业贿赂对企业产品多样性的影响,发现市场排他型贿赂不利于企业创新(产品多样性),便利自利型贿赂反而促进创新。可能原因是市场排他型贿赂产生"替代效应"—企业以贿赂代替产品创新。而便利自利型贿赂发挥"润滑剂"作用推动产品创新。比较来看,在市场排他型竞争逻辑下,本土企业的创新比外资企业受到贿赂的抑制影响更大;而广泛与行政部门打交道的内销企业受到的抑制影响大于"主体业务脱离本土"的外销企业。文章认为,十八大以来的反腐败行动减少了中国企业腐败,活跃了企业创新,提升了企业产品多样性。
Based on the World Bank China Enterprise Survey data,this paper looks into the impact of bribery on corporate product diversification.We find that Bribe for Monopolizing the Market (BMM)has negative effects on innovation to the company (in product diversification),while,Bribe for Facilitating Self-interest (BFS)promotes it.The possible reason is BMM creates a substitution effect--corporates replace bribes with innovation;and BFS plays a grease role in promoting product diversification.In comparison,we also find that bribe has greater inhibitory effect on local companies'product diversity,which is under the logic of market exclusive competition,than overseas -funded enterprises;domestic enterprises that deal extensively with administrative departments are more affected than export enterprises whose main business is out of the local market.The anti -corruption actions since the 18th CPC National Congress have reduced corruption and invigorated finns'innovation,hence enhancing corporate product diversification.
