摘要
Well-designed experiments were held in Guangzhou to test the theory of Cooperation and Competition. Details of the experiments were introduced. Four special conditions for Cooperation, Competition, Persuade and Coerce were created. Participants took part in different groups and used different methods to discuss the given problems. They were asked to finish questionnaires during each phase of the experiments. The results showed the success of our experiment and proved the general usefulness of the theory. Cooperation can motivate an opening communication method and constructive controversy. On the base of the experiment, further studies were held to analyze the effectiveness of some Chinese traditions when applying the theory to China. Useful suggestions were presented. It has been proved the western theory of Cooperation and Competition can be very practical in China.
