摘要
现代符号学的开创者之一的美国哲学家莫里斯把语言符号的意义分为三大类:指称意义、言内意义和语用意义。这三大意义用于诗歌翻译实践中,有助于更立体、宏观地阐释原诗,对诗歌英译有符号学指导意义。文章以符号学理论为基础,从诗歌翻译的准确性、形式美及"意"美为参考点,对孟浩然《宿建德江》的二十种译文进行对比分析。
American philosopher, one of the founders of modem semiotics, Charles William Morris, divided themeaning of language signs into three categories: reference, locutionary meaning and pragmatic meaning, whichcontribute to poetry translation with a more comprehensive way of interpretation. Based on the semiotics theory, thispaper comparatively analyzes the twenty versions of English translations of a Chinese poem, "Mooring on the Riverat Jiande" of Meng Haoran with accuracy, the beauty of form of poetry and the beauty of "image" and "artisticconception" as commentary criteria.
