In Jameson＇s view,it is the common problem of formalism and structuralism that they lack content and take form as their content,which derived from Saussure＇s language model. In other words,their terms and spirit of criticism come from Saussure type. It is in this sense that Jameson said that they were in ＂ The Prison-House of Language＂ ——which is the key of Jameson＇s criticism.
