One Side is Angel,the Other is Devil——Comparison of the Images of WANG Xi-feng and Scarlett O'Hara

论文以比较文学的角度,从社会伦理道德出发,对《红楼梦》中的女主角王熙凤和《飘》中的女主角斯佳丽的形象进行了比较研究。两个女主角在社会伦理道德方面有相似之处,一方面恪守传统伦理道德;另一方面都贪财敛财,心肠狠毒。二人就像《红楼梦》中的风月宝鉴,正面一看是美人——天使,反面一看是骷髅——魔鬼。两人身上所彰显出来的"天使"与"魔鬼"形象透现了人性的纷繁复杂性。

This paper compares the images of O＇Hara from A Dream of the Red Mansion and Gone the two heroines of WANG Xi-feng and Scarlett with the Wind. Both heroines share similar social ethics. On one hand, they adhere to traditional morals; on the other hand, they have itching palms, they are insidious and ruthless. Both heroines are like the images in the mirror in A Dream of the Red Mansion, a beauty-angel on one side, and a skeleton-devil on the other. Their images reflect the complexity of human nature.
