＂Wulongqiu （乌龙球）＂ is a word of semantic translation from the English phrase ＂own goal＂. ＂Wulong（乌龙）＂, one of the composing components of the Chinese equivalent, was used with its meaning in Yue Dialect. ＂Wulongqiu（乌龙球）＂ has three kinds of applied meanings： original meaning, extended meaning and metaphorical meaning. At present the metaphorical meaning of ＂Wulongqiu （乌龙球）＂ is still rhetorical meaning, and not lexicological meaning.
