摘要
《英语专业本科教学质量国家标准》是我国英语专业发展到新的历史时期所亟需出台的一项重要文件。它不仅是英语专业的"生命线",对专业的准入、建设和评价具有重要意义,同时又对其他外语类专业本科教学质量的制定产生积极的指导和影响。本文着重回顾该标准的研制过程,分析和比较不同阶段版本中相关理论基础、主要内容、篇幅及呈现方式等方面的异同。
Ushered into a new historical and developmental stage, English majors in China call for the issuance of National Standards of Teaching Quality for Undergraduate English Majors. This document is regarded of benchmarking significance for English majors, given its pivotal role in launching new undergraduate programmes of English Language and Literature and in developing and evaluating existing English majors at universities and colleges nationwide. It also exerts profound influence on and provides guidance for making the national standards of teaching quality for other undergraduate programmes of foreign language studies. As such, this paper retrospectively dwells upon the benchmarking process of the Standards, where its underlying rationales, main contents, lengths and presentational styles across a range of versions are compared and analyzed.
