本文从藏医药产生的历史背景及其在发展过程中各相关领域所取得的成就两方面进行论述。藏医药学的教育工作和科学研究得到广泛重视。为适应发展的需要,建立了藏医学院和藏医研究所,鼓励和支持著名老藏医著书立说,及时整理了一批年事已高的藏医药专家的宝贵经验。富有生命力的藏医药正走向世界,引起国际医学界的关注。

This paper is reviewed the historical background of Tibetan medicine. And it discussed on the achievement of Tibetan medicine in the relevant fields of development. Due attention has been paid to education and scientific research concerning Tibetan medicine. In order to meet the needs for the development of Tibetan medicine,the autonomous region founded the Tibetan Medical College and the Tibetan Medicine Research Institute,and encouraged and supported famous veteran Tibetan medicine doctors to write scholarly books. A chronology of valuable medical experience of a group of aged specialists was compiled. Tibetan medicine is full of vitality and now taking its place in the world,arousing the attention of international medical circles.
