摘要
反拨效应是语言测试研究中一个不可或缺的部分。近二十年来,反拨效应受到外语测试界的普遍关注,它为教学提供目标并为教师和学生成功地实现这些目标提供现实依据。本研究针对上海理工大学2013级分入大学英语预备级的570余名非英语专业新生展开,结合定性分析和定量分析的研究方法探究分级考试对这些学生课堂教学和学习效果的影响。结果表明,分级考试对上海理工大学预备级课堂教学及学生学习的反拨效应趋于正面。
Backwash effect is an indispensable part in language testing. Backwash effect, which has been widely paid attention to in foreign language testing domain in recent decades, provides not only reference to adjusting teaching aim, but also practical foundation for teachers and students to accomplish the aim better. The present study is centered on 570 or so 2013 non-English major freshmen of University of Shanghai for Science & Technology who were classified into Pre-level. The researchers conducted the backwash study by employing both qualitative and quantitative methods to examine the actual effect of placement test on those students' classroom teaching and learning outcome. The result of the study indicates that the backwash effect of placement test on classroom teaching and students' learning is positive.
