On the Relationship between Communism and the Contemporary Reality

共产主义并非刻板的教条和僵化的"终极目标",而是理论、目标和实践的辩证统一。共产主义既是长远的奋斗目标和未来的社会形态,又是不断超越现存状况的实践活动。实现共产主义是目标与过程、量变与质变的统一,共产主义扎根于现实、行进在路上,现实和实践也将继续检验并发展共产主义。坚持和发展中国特色社会主义、实现中华民族伟大复兴的中国梦,本质上就是实践的共产主义。

Communism is not rigid d ogma or ＂ultimate goal＂, but a dialectical unification of theory, goal and practice. Communism is not only a long-term goal and a form of future society, but also a practical activity which exceeds the existing conditions. The realization of communism is the unification of the goal and the process, the quantitative change and qualitative change. Communism is rooted in the reality and marching on the road. Reality and practice will continue to test and develop communism. Upholding and developing socialism with Chinese characteristics and realizing the Chinese dream with great rejuvenation are the practice of communism.
