虽然"高铁"作为国家地理空间要素在新时期的地缘政治思维中并未受到重视,但"高铁外交"作为中国地缘战略的重要推动手段,已经受到国内外的极大关注。"地球是平的"观念在削弱传统地缘政治观的同时,也正在促使人们形成新的地缘政治思维。"高铁外交"是建立在世界经济相互依存的基础之上,这和传统地缘政治对国际政治经济态势的判断截然相反。通过高铁推动区域经济合作和一体化本身就是一种地缘政治思维,也是一种地缘政治的外交行动。"高铁外交"伴随"一带一路"战略的实施在未来可见的时期内大有作为。

Ahhough High-speed Railway doesn＇t get much attention in geopolitcal thoughts as an essential factor of national geographical space in new era, the ＂ High-speed Railway Diplomacy＂ （HSRD） has attracted great concern at home and abroad. While the perception of ＂the world is fiat＂ undermines traditional geopolitical ideas, it also improves to shape new geopolitical thinking. The HSRD on the basis of interdependence of world economy is totally different from the assessment of international political and economic posture by traditional geopolitics. To promote regional economic cooperation and integration through high-speed railway construction is a kind of geopolitical thought itself and a geopolitical action as well. The HSRD can do something in a foreseeable future along with the implementation of ＂One Belt, One Road＂ strategy.
