摘要
针对传统自由空间激光通信(FSO,Free-Space Optical Communication)两端都需要装载光端机,体积、重量、功耗较大,应用受到限制的问题,提出了一种基于调制反射器(MRR,Modulating Retro-Reflector)的自由空间激光通信技术。调制反射激光通信系统为非对称系统,免去了系统的一个光端机,减轻了系统的体积、重量和功耗,能够有效地解决传统自由空间激光通信系统的应用限制。
The traditional free space optical communication are needed on both sides of the loading optical transceiver, and it has larger volume, larger weight, larger power consumption, to overcome this limitation, we presents a new concept that free space optical link to modulated retro-reflectors is asymmetric with two dissimilar optical terminals on either side of the link,so then reduce volume,weight and power consumption of the system. this can effectively solve the application limits of traditional free space laser communication system. First introduces the composition and principle of MRR system then talk about the comparison of the cat system and the corner cube reflector, and the analysis of multiple quantum wells and MEMS optical modulator,Finally the MRR system is prospected for simple applications.
