《台州隋故智者大师修禅道场碑铭》事实考证与价值论衡

《台州隋故智者大师修禅道场碑铭》述智者大师之事迹,叙天台传教之大统,是保存于今的佛教天台宗的唐代著名碑刻。其所涉及的事实以及碑铭的文学价值,非常值得讨论。钩稽撰文者梁肃、书丹者高放、篆额者陈修古、建碑者行满的材料,能够清楚地呈现该碑的形成过程;考证智顗、湛然和梁肃的关系,是解读这一碑铭并了解佛教天台宗的关键所在;发掘碑铭的史实,论述碑铭的价值,不仅有助于梁肃研究的推进,也有助于中国文化史和文学史的深入研究。

The Inscription of Wise Master Studying Zen at Taizhou's Buddhist Temple in Sui Dynasty narrates Wise Master's deeds and the inheritance system of Tiantai Sect of Buddhism,and it is the famous stone inscription of Tiantai Sect in Tang Dynasty that persists till now. The facts that this inscription involves and its literary value are extremely worth discussing. Liang Su wrote the inscription,Gao Fang carved it on the tablet,then in the top of the tablet,Chen Xiugu cut the name of the inscription on the seal character; and Xing Man built the tablet,all the materials of those mentioned above clearly present the formation process of this inscription. The relationships among Zhi Yi,Zhan Ran and Liang Su are the key to interpret the inscription and understand Tiantai Sect of Buddhism. Exploring the historical realities and expounding the value of this inscription are not only help to promote the researches on Liang Su,but also help the further study of Chinese cultural history and literary history.
