Technology is a mediation. It plays a social role and mediates human action. In the face of the social role of technology, Waelbers presents the forward-looking technological responsibility ethics. Waelbers＇s forward-looking technological responsibility ethics is based on Latour＇s technological mediation theory and MacIntyre＇s practice oriented ethics, analyses the forward-looking responsibility to the social role of technology, and addresses who should take responsibility for the social role of technology and how to do so. Waelber＇ s idea complements the responsible ethics of tech- nology.
