合理改造工业建筑,使之符合环保、节能、循环再利用的社会主义持续发展观,是设计人员要充分认识到的社会发展方向。在城市发展的过程中,要积极利用好旧工业建筑,对其进行有目的、有意义的改造。在对可利用旧厂房的改造设计中,应遵循创造优质空间,保留工业性格等原则,把原建筑的大空间分割成小空间,改造成咖啡厅、食堂、生态餐厅、办公室、大堂等具有新功能的利用空间。对外墙、天窗、器械等建筑构件进行置换更新。使改造后建筑的经济、人文、社会和环境价值以新的内涵更清晰地展示在人们面前,并真正地为人们的日常生活需求服务。

The reasonable transformation of old industrial buildings is in accord with environmental protection, energy saving, recycling of the socialist concept of sustainable development. The designer should be fully aware of its unique value and charm in the process of city development, hence good use of the old industrial buildings should be actively made, so objective and significant reforms should be carried out. The design scheme proposed that the purpose of the transformation was to create high-quality space, reserve industrial characters, split the original large space into small space to have new functions as coffee house, dining room, ecological restaurant, office and hall etc, and the building components such as exterior wall, dormant window and equipment should be replaced and updated so that the building after transformation presented its economic, humanistic, social and environmental values with new connotations more clearly and could truly serve for people＇ s daily requirements.
