摘要
大规模公开在线课程(Massive Open Online Course,MOOC)的广泛转播及其所存在的问题,引起了高等教育界对技术进步和传统高等教育教学模式的反思,同时也给大学在线课程的持续性创新提供了条件和机遇。美国德克萨斯大学奥斯汀分校推出的同步大规模在线课程(Synchronous Massive Online Course,SMOC)整合了在线课程领域的技术发展成果与传统教学的优势,并结合教育心理领域的研究成果,不断完善大学在线课程的技术平台和课程模式。对SMOC在课程同步、评价方式优化、商业模式可持续等方面所展开的实践和取得的效果进行深入分析,作为大学在线课程的持续性创新,SMOC的理念和经验对中国大学在线课程的建设和发展具有较好的启示作用。
The wide spreading and problems of Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) have raised people's reflection about the technological advances and the traditional teaching models of higher education, and have provided opportunities for universities to realize the sustaining innovation of online courses as well. The Synchronous Massive Online Course (SMOC) created by The University of Texas at Austin integrates the technological achievements and the advantages of traditional courses, with the psychological research findings of students' learning, the technology platform and curriculum model are developed and improved. Based on these, this paper analyzes the practice and effects of synchronous online courses, optimized evaluation and sustainable commercial model of SMOC. As sustaining innovation of university online courses, the ideas and experiences of SMOC have significant implications for the construction and development of university online courses in China.
