科技文献检索中基于主题词表分面化改造的分面构建

Facet Construction Based on Facet Reform of Thesaurus for Scientific and Technical Literature Retrieval System

分面检索已经在科技文献检索中得到了广泛应用，但由于内容角度的分面设置或者粒度过粗，不能帮助用户有效细化需求，或者粒度较细但存在严重的信息过载问题，因而用户体验并不理想。面向这一问题，本文提出了基于主题词表分面化改造构建科技文献内容分面的思路。为验证该思路的可行性和效果，本文以教育学科为例进行了原型系统实现。通过原型系统与某知名学术检索系统的效果对比可以确认该思路效果较好，主要表现在两个方面：①基于该方法构建分面可以将检索结果所涵盖的主题及分布进行较为清晰的展现；②基于该方法产生的分面数量有限且各分面下重要焦点较少，几乎不会带来信息过载问题。

Faceted retrieval has been widely used in scientific and technical literature retrieval. Facets about contents and coarse-grained description may result in vagueness of representing information need, while fine-grained description may lead to information overload, thus users＇ search experience is poor. To overcome this problem, this paper proposes the method of constructing facets based on facet reform of thesaurus. In order to evaluate the feasibility and effectiveness of this approach, this paper constructs a faceted search prototype system for pedagogy literature. Compared with a well-known academic retrieval system, it is can be concluded thatprototype systemperforms better, which is shown in the following two aspects ： （1）facets constructed based on our method provide a clear view of the subtopic distribution; and （2） both the facets and important foci in each facet are few and thus help to minimize users＇ information overload.
