目的论视域下的外宣翻译探析

A Probe into the International Publicity Translation from a Perspective of Skopostheorie

外宣翻译在中国对外交流中起着越来越重要的作用,是对外宣传中国政治、经济、文化的媒介;由于中西方之间语言、文化等的巨大差异以及传统翻译原则对译者的束缚,外宣翻译面临诸多挑战。目的论认为翻译是有明确目的的跨文化交际活动,翻译的目的决定翻译策略,翻译的过程受到各种因素的制约。译者应该根据译文不同语篇的预期功能,抓住原作的意图,灵活选择适当的翻译策略。

The international publicity translation is playing a more and more important role in China＇s foreign exchange. Meanwhile, it is the medium for the propaganda of China＇s politics, economy and culture to the world. Due to the great differ- ences of languages and cultures between China and the West as well as the constraints of traditional translation principles to translators, such translation is facing more challenges than one. The skopostheorie holds that translation is the cross-cultural activity with the clear goal which determines the translation strategies. And the translation process is governed by various fac tors. Hence, the translator should make clear the intention the original text and choose flexibly the strategies according to the intended functions of different types of texts in target language.
