双溪客舍乙座别墅是岭南建筑大师莫伯治上世纪六十年代的代表作品,它的建筑空间通透、形体简洁,布局借白云山的山势而为,摆脱了利用形式化的"中国固有形式"来表现中国传统建筑精髓的桎梏,它在地域技术特征、社会时代精神和人文审美理想三个方面表现出独特而鲜明的文化地域性格,对研究地域建筑文化的传承和岭南建筑的文化精神具有重要意义.

Shuangxi Villa II was designed in 1960＇s by Mo Bozhi who is one of the best architect for Lingnan architecture. The villa has a very spacious and free-flowing space hidden in the Baiyun moun- tain. The architect set the villa on the steep slope in a very skillful way making as little change as possi- ble. And by using a garden-like form instead of copying one part of the old architecture,the villa repre- sent the spirit in Chinese traditional architecture. The villa is rich in typology, deep in local culture and exquisite in building details. It is valuable in terms of local architecture heritage and culture spirit of buildings in Lingnan architecture.
